Admissions Process

Admissions Statement

Heritage School of Texas welcomes you to its admissions process. Heritage invites you to become acquainted with the school through its school publications, a visit to the campus, and/or a conversation with a member of the administration.

The goal of the Admissions Committee at Heritage School of Texas is to bring together a student body which can best grow spiritually, intellectually, and physically. Each candidate’s academic potential, scholastic profile, and character development will be taken into consideration. The Admissions Committee will seek to make each admissions decision based on what is best for the child and for the school. Because of the magnitude and importance of its task, the Committee’s independence and integrity will be guarded.

The steps in the admissions process are outlined below, ALL GRADES:

  1. SUBMIT DIAGNOSTIC TESTING:
    • All interested families must submit the child's recent diagnostic testing or psycho-educational evaluation prior to a campus visit. PLEASE NOTE: Testing must be dated within the past three years.

  5. ADMISSIONS TESTING:
    • In addition to the student observation day, select applicants will complete a full battery of admissions testing scheduled through the Dean of Instruction.  The purpose of all admissions testing is to determine a child’s learning profile.  Learning profiles help the Heritage staff customize an individual learning plan and determine class placement.  Our admissions testing is not diagnostic, but rather an in-house benchmarking tool used for instructional purposes.

    • All admissions decisions are made independently of a family’s request for financial aid. Students receiving financial aid are expected to meet the academic profile and behavioral standards of Heritage. Financial aid is available for grades 1-8, and is granted on the basis of need and availability of funds. Each family’s “need” is determined by a Report submitted to Heritage from FACTS Grantee Assessment after it has reviewed the parent's applicable financial data, including the past years recent federal income tax return. The Executive board will then evaluate available funds and use this 3rd party assessment to determine the amount of financial aid offered for the current school year. All financial aid determinations are at the sole discretion of the Executive board of Trustees.  Click Here to view the FACTS Grant & Aid Checklist, so you can start to compile your information.
    • Please note that before you apply for financial aid, you must submit an Application for Admission to Heritage.  If you have already done so and are ready to apply for financial aid, Click Here to start the online application process.  If you have questions regarding the online process, please Click Here.
